FVIM Board

Purpose:

The Friends of Volunteers in Medicine Clinic, Inc., was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to support, assist and enable the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic to provide health care to medically indigent residents of Martin County, Florida.

Judith Powell

President

CFO of Wallace Automotive Group for 22 years, owned a car business in Michigan before moving to Stuart, Florida in 1993. She ran USTA tennis teams in Michigan, has been a member of the Evergreen Golf Club for 9 years and is treasurer of Jensen Beach Boys Basketball Booster Club. She has been supporting the VIM Clinic since 2005.

Jordan Bromberg, MD, FACP

Dr. Bromberg did his residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center and graduated Medical School from Albany Medical College in 1981. He served in the Air Force and received an Air Force Achievement Medal for Meritorious Service in 1988. After moving to Florida, he worked in private practice in Port Saint Lucie for the last thirty years before deciding to dedicate his considerable talents to VIM Clinic. His specialties include geriatric and internal medicine and he has vast experience treating a wide range of condition.

Mark Cocorullo

Retired Financial Advisor at Rehmann, Investment advisor services offered through Rehmann Financial, a Registered Investment Advisor; served 35 years as Senior Vice President & CFO, Martin Health System; B.S. Business, University of South Carolina; Fellow, College of Health Care Executives; American Institute of CPAs; Former Manager, Accounting, Beth Israel Hospital, Boston; Former Senior Accountant, Deloitte Touche.

Howard Robbins, MD

Board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Quality Assurance, and Utilization Review. Served as Chief Medical Officer of MHS and VP of Medical Affairs from 1996-2012. Graduate from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ and received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed his residency in Tampa, FL and ran a private Pulmonary Medicine practice for 17 years upon arriving in Stuart in 1979. Today he is partner at Treasure Coast Concierge and volunteers regularly at VIM Clinic.

Stuart Sabol, MD

Board certified otolaryngologist and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons with training in adult and pediatric ENT, head and neck surgery, and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine with honors and completed his postgraduate training in San Antonio, Texas. He has been volunteering for VIM for 20 years.

Ivins Steinhauer

Retired Administrator, Rehabilitative & Ambulatory Systems, Martin Health System. Responsible for development and implementation of inpatient and ambulatory programs. Developed and implemented ancillary operations including medical supplies, walk-in treatment and diagnostic centers, and home health services.

Frank M. Byers Jr.

Board Emeritus

Frank M. Byers Jr. is the Executive Vice President of Geo. Byers Sons, Inc. /Byers Auto Group located in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Duke University for two years and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business at Ohio State University. He was the 1st President of Nationwide Children’s Hospital Development Board. Byers was the 1st Recipient of General Motors Highest Service Award for Trucks in the United States. He served on local boards such as the Lyric Theatre and the Florida Oceanographic Society.
