Welcome to the final week of VIM Fit Fest.

Be sure to pick up your t-shirt or request the mail option by October 16, 2020.
Our final video takes place at Flagler Park with Amanda from Whole Body Performance and Fitness. Next year Flagler Park will be the location for our live VIM Fit Fest event on Saturday, October 2, 2021. The event will include a morning Walk the Dock challenge, fitness presentations, booths featuring wellness businesses, sports, and athletic associations, as well as a healthy cooking competition. We can hardly wait to see you there!
This waterfront linear park runs from the Roosevelt Bridge east along the St. Lucie River. The area of the park was once the commercial center for Stuart and remains a hub for celebrations like Independence Day. A boardwalk links the park to downtown Stuart and to the businesses and Shepard Park on the west side of the bridge. Visitors can fish, play basketball, walk their dog, and picnic at this scenic park.
Week 9 Challenge
Amanda always brings us a great challenge. If you have been doing a walking or running routine, you can amp it up with these moves. We start with calf raises. This simple exercise improves ankle stability, strength, and overall balance. Next we get down with walking planks. Planks work abdominal muscles and adding the walking activates your glutes, shoulders, and chest muscles, too. We end with walking lunges. Walking lunges strengthen your entire lower body and also boost your balance.
Amanda recommends walking for 5 to 15 minutes to warm-up before starting the challenge. After each block of three exercises walk for two minutes then repeat the block. Work your way up to doing three blocks for a super, strength building workout.
