Purpose:
The Friends of Volunteers in Medicine Clinic, Inc., was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to support, assist and enable the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic to provide health care to medically indigent residents of Martin County, Florida.
Frank M. Byers Jr.
President
Frank M. Byers Jr. is the Executive Vice President of Geo. Byers Sons, Inc. /Byers Auto Group located in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Duke University for two years and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business at Ohio State University. He was the 1st President of Nationwide Children’s Hospital Development Board. Byers was the 1st Recipient of General Motors Highest Service Award for Trucks in the United States. He served on local boards such as the Lyric Theatre and the Florida Oceanographic Society.
Howard Robbins, MD
Vice President
Board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Quality Assurance, and Utilization Review. Served as Chief Medical Officer of MHS and VP of Medical Affairs from 1996-2012. Graduate from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ and received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed his residency in Tampa, FL and ran a private Pulmonary Medicine practice for 17 years upon arriving in Stuart in 1979. Today he is partner at Treasure Coast Concierge and volunteers regularly at VIM Clinic.

Jordan Bromberg, MD, FACP
Dr. Bromberg did his residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center and graduated Medical School from Albany Medical College in 1981. He served in the Air Force and received an Air Force Achievement Medal for Meritorious Service in 1988. After moving to Florida, he worked in private practice in Port Saint Lucie for the last thirty years before deciding to dedicate his considerable talents to VIM Clinic. His specialties include geriatric and internal medicine and he has vast experience treating a wide range of condition.

Mike Evans
Missouri University of Science and Technology, BSME, and Navy veteran. He worked in the electric power industry eventually becoming President and CEO of Consolidated Edison and then President and CEO of the national Institute of Nuclear Power Operations. Mike and his wife, Linda, moved to Stuart in 2004 becoming active in many community organizations.

Rishi P. Singh, MD
Rishi P. Singh, MD the President of Cleveland Clinic Martin North and South Hospitals. He is also a staff surgeon at the Cole Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic, and Professor of Ophthalmology at the Lerner College of Medicine in Cleveland Ohio. He received his bachelor’s and medical degrees from Boston University and completed his residency at the Massachusetts Eye and Infirmary Harvard Combined Program in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Singh then completed a medical and surgical fellowship at the Cole Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic.
He specializes in the treatment of medical and surgical retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Singh has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, books, and book chapters and serves as the principal investigator of numerous national clinical trials advancing the treatment of retinal disease. Dr. Singh is the former president of the Retina World Congress and is on the board of the American Society of Retina Specialists.
Dr. Singh has been honored with several research recognitions such as the Alpha Omega Alpha Research Award, the American Society of Retina Specialists Senior Honor Award, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology Senior Honor Award.
