Would you like to learn more about the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic? Do you need someone to speak to your group, organization, staff or membership about our services?
Well, we would love to spread the word throughout the community about what we do and how we help improve the quality of life in Martin County. We have a Speakers Bureau of volunteers who would welcome the opportunity to give a free presentation at one of your meetings.
The VIM Clinic is a primary care medical facility with a very small staff that is supported by volunteer physicians, nurses and lay personnel. We do not charge for our services.
Eligible patients are adults who live in Martin County, do not have medical insurance, Medicare or Medicaid and earn incomes of 200% of the federal poverty level — which is about $20,000 a year— or less.
We’re funded by private donations, our annual black tie gala event and grants from the following organizations:
- The Martin County Board of County Commissioners
- The United Way of Martin County
- The Community Foundation for Palm Beach & Martin Counties (Safety Net Grant)
- Allegany Franciscan Ministries (including Safety Net Grant)
- The Blue Foundation for a Healthy Florida
- Hobe Sound Community Chest
- PNC Harbor Foundation
If your group would like to hear more about our valuable community outreach, please contact Executive Director Mary Fields.
We look forward to hearing from you!
