Our lay volunteers are paramount to VIM’s success. Most are retired and may have been senior managers, teachers, professors or other professionals. These volunteers are usually the first people our patients see when they enter the clinic. They bring us a variety of valuable skills that are put to use in many different ways. They are professionals in everything they do.
If you are ready to join this diverse team, we can use your help. No matter what your skills or vocation, you will find a home for your talents at the VIM Clinic. More than 90 practitioners and non-medical personnel give their time, talent and expertise so that we may provide compassionate and comprehensive medical care to eligible adult residents of Martin County.
We also offer students seeking clinical hours a supportive, hands-on learning environment.
But you don’t have to be in the medical field to make a difference! Volunteers perform clerical work and data entry, greet or screen patients, help with fund-raising and other special events, work on the reception desk, or provide other needed services.
At the VIM Clinic, we are truly grateful to have a wonderful family of volunteers who bring a kind, generous spirit to the aide of neighbors in need. If you would like to join us as a medical or lay volunteer, if you are able to take patient referrals, or if you would like to help us in other ways, please check out our wish list or our list of volunteer opportunities. You can also contact us or submit an application form.
We offer a warm, friendly environment where your efforts will truly make a difference and touch more lives than ever before!
