Thank you for your generosity and willingness to help those who are less fortunate. The gracious support of our philanthropic community and exemplary corps of volunteers have made the VIM Gala a tremendous success over the years. Unfortunately, the need for our services continues to grow as continuing high unemployment and increasing costs of health coverage put insurance out of reach for a wide array of Martin County residents.

In 2010, we provided over $8 million worth of health care on a budget of just over $700,000. Our audit showed we spent 98 cents of every dollar on patient services, with just 2 percent spent on administration and fund-raising. We had over 13,900 patient visits and distributed $1.2 million in donated medications. Not only does VIM Clinic save Martin County taxpayers the cost of indigent care by reducing the need for emergency room visits, we improve our county’s  overall quality of life, one person at a time.
